Driving aptitude seminar
Better driving in the future
A driving aptitude seminar (FES) is intended to help traffic offenders change their driving behaviour and adhere better to road rules in the future.
General Info
Participation in a driving aptitude seminar is voluntary and possible several times. In addition, it offers drivers with multiple traffic conspicuities an opportunity to reduce their points. One point will be deducted if you participate in a driving aptitude seminar and have a score of 1 to 5 points. However, this deduction of points is only possible every five years. If you have a higher score, you can also participate, but no points will be deducted.
How does the driving aptitude seminar proceed?
The seminar consists of a traffic pedagogical and a traffic psychological submeasure.
The traffic pedagogical part comprises two modules of 90 minutes each and is carried out as an individual measure or in groups of up to six participants in the driving school by a trained driving instructor.
With a traffic psychologist you will also spend two individual sessions of 75 minutes each. The interval between sessions must be at least 3 weeks.
After you have completed both, you will receive a certificate of participation. You should submit these to the driving licence authority within two weeks.
